Wendell G Wheeler Jr, has been painting every since he received an easel and paints for Christmas when he was 12 years old.  He is mostly self taught having taken a few art classes along the way. He has been making works of art for as long as he can remember; always driven to be busy being creative.  He loves nature and her never-ending supply of subject matter.  He also loves old cars and they have woven their way into the fabric of many of his paintings.  Wendell loves the way oil paints blend and  how they allow an endless amount of flexibility to the range and depth of a painting.  Although, he also enjoys the freedom and spontaneity of acrylics. His love of art extends to the painting of objects and even an occasional custom car or truck.

Wendell has a way found portraits to be as captvating as nature.  His portraits always capture his subject in the places and things that they love in their lives.
